In this exciting new role, you’ll manage the assessment of need, care delivery / planning, review, personalisation and safeguarding of adults to the highest standards to promote independence, choice, and control. Your senior management and budgetary experience will be underpinned by knowledge of the national and local agenda for care services and experience of developing strategies and commissioning.
You’ll be a qualified social worker with experience of working with adults in need and vulnerable adults.

You could have a Social Work, Nursing or AHP degree level qualification and/or extensive senior management experience in Local Authority Adult Social Care Service management. In either case you’ll be experienced in working with adults in need and vulnerable adults.

With experience of working with children or adults in need and knowledge of the national and local agenda for care functions, you will have managed diverse multi-disciplinary teams and have experience of developing strategies and function design or commissioning.
You’ll have extensive knowledge and experience of strategic commissioning of either Children’s and/or Adults’ services and a track record of transforming teams to deliver improved performance and service quality.

As a key member of the Children and Families Social Work management team you’ll provide policy direction and contribute to the wider corporate priorities, vision and values, engaging with other service areas to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and their families.
You will help us to deliver of vision for services and support to children in need of help and protection. We have a strong early help offer and are committed to supporting children to live within their families through innovative service deliver which supports sustained change.

You’ll bring extensive experience of multi-agency / partnership working with other statutory and voluntary agencies at a senior management level and strategic experience in local, regional and national policy, community safety and resilience matters.
